MULTI-DAY PADDLE DOWN THE RIVER WYE

 

Why not choose your Silver or Gold expedition to be a canoe or kayak down the river Wye? We can provide:

  • Camping
  • Boat Hire
  • Equipment Hire (Paddles, Buoyancy Aids, Drybags, Maps, Barrels )
  • Vehicle pick up/drop offs

 

Canoeing or kayaking is a fantastic alternative to hiking, especially if there are members of your group that are not keen on walking.

 

Will I still have to navigate?

Yes! Navigation is a key part of your Duke of Edinburgh learning and you will still need to use navigation skills to find your campsite as well as stopping points for lunch each day.

 

How far can we go in each day?

Normally an average group can travel easily around 10-12 miles each day.

 

Are there campsites on the way?

Along the river Wye there are plenty of campsites to choose from. We will let you plan which ones you stay at, but we recommend you start at our campsite the night before you begin, so that you can get away in good time the first morning.
