CLIMBING AND ABSEILING AT DINAS ROCK
We can offer rock climbing and abseiling at a number of locations, however our most popular ‘real’ rock face near the centre is at Dinas Rock, Powys. It is suitable for beginners as well as having some really technical sections as well – perfect for more advanced climbers.
SCHOOL GROUPS
We often use Dinas Rock crag for school and youth groups, and it is great as part of a multi-day activity program. Our pricing structure for this is different to the prices on this page, so contact us direct for a quote.
CRAG FEATURES
Tucked away in a narrow gorge at the northern end of the Neath Valley, Dinas Rock is one of the best cliffs in South Wales. The main face next to the car park suits first-timers and is the one we normally use for school groups. Further up the river there are a number of crags which are great for more experienced climbers. Its walls of high quality limestone are covered with overlaps and water-worn features which combine to produce fine climbing. Technique and perseverance are needed as much as power and guile. Not all of the climbing is in the higher grades and the roadside crags contain some very accessible routes in the lower and mid-grades.
